Plan your non fiction book #8 – creating a vision

What is your vision for your book?

Today I am skipping ahead and looking at creating a vision. Often when someone decides to write a book, they get an idea for now, for this moment. My advice would be to write a book that fits in with your vision of the future.

It’s the start of a new year and a time when lots of people are setting goals and deciding where they want to be this time next year. Well, what about the year after? If you were to tell me what you are known for today what would it be?

Write because you have the courage to dare to dream of how your book will inspire others to dare to dream. Now ask – what do I want to be known for in 2 years time?

Look out to the future and try and imagine what your life and business would look like.

What kind of book would support that wonderful vision?

As you wander around your day, notice things, get in touch with your feelings, what are people asking you about, what makes you feel great? These are the things that will inspire your vision.

That’s it, that’s all I want you to do today is imagine the future. Ask what book would support you?

Remember to scribble thoughts and ideas as they come to you. Keep them safe we will be looking more at vision over the next few days.
